The holidays can be a stressful time. Theres family, travel, and gift giving that you have to worry about, so why should baking be one more thing to add to that list? Not to mention everyone is expected to bring something, regardless of cooking ability. People stress about what dish to bring to their family gathering, but what if there was a recipe simply enough that you only needed two ingredients and involved chocolate?
You’re in luck because for this fudge recipe you only need semi sweet chocolate and condensed milk (and of . course some parchment paper and something to grease your pan with). The other great thing about this recipe is not only is it the easiest recipe to make, it’s also hard to mess up. For those of us that aren’t great bakers or beginners, all you have to do is melt and mix and thats basically it. Not to mention, fudge is a great crowd pleaser and a staple holiday dessert in most households, so don’t be surprised when it goes quickly.
In a 5 x 7 dish, grease the bottom and edges with butter or oil, and line it with parchment paper. Next, take a saucepan and on low heat, add 400 grams of condensed milk and 300 grams of semi sweet dark chocolate. For the next four to five minutes, stir until the chocolate is completely melted. When the mixture is nice and smooth, add it to the prepared pan. Once the mixture is spread evenly in the pan, move it to the refrigerator for 3-4 hours or overnight.
After the fudge is chilled and solidified you can remove it from the dish by pulling out the parchment paper. Simply cut and serve, and you have a fan favorite dessert that took almost no time at all to make. This recipe is so easy that you can start it in the morning and have it ready by the time you leave for lunch; perfect for those procrastinators that wait until the last minute to think of something to bring. It’s also easy to modify for whatever holiday you’re preparing it for. Try using themed cookie cutters instead of cutting squares or adding sprinkles and frosting.
