There’s a lot of pressure put on folks during the holidays. Much of which stem around the dinner table. As if there isn’t enough to worry about — who’s coming to dinner, what to wear, what arguments are sure to ensue with certain people in the same room, etc.

While holidays are exciting and a perfect time for family and friends to come together, they can be pretty stressful. So, if you’ve felt like you’ve dealt with a lot of stress during a holiday, you aren’t alone!

In fact, there is one woman who shared her disastrous Easter holiday dessert with the world. We must warn you, it’s hilarious. Just know, that after reading about her troubles with her holiday cake, you won’t be feeling as bad about any hiccups you might have run into.

In 2018, Teresa Such was like many of us during Easter. She was looking forward to getting together with her family and sharing great food and stories.

“Easter for me is a time to be with my family. We don’t see each other that often and every holiday, we sit around, get drunk, swap stories, and make fun of each other,” she told Bored Panda.

In addition to great company, her family decided that each person would bring a dish to her uncle’s house for Easter lunch. Teresa chose to bring a dessert. But instead of making one, she figured she would purchase something instead.

It turns out, Easter lambs are quite popular during this time. In fact, when she went to the store, there was a line already out the door.

Still, Teresa persevered and was lucky enough to find one. Well, kinda. The one she found looked… off. Just one look at its eyes and you might be a little traumatized. Nonetheless, Teresa felt that she could just take it home and fix it up.

After returning home, grabbing sushi, and fixing herself a “stiff” drink, she thought she better get to work. Thus, the first thing she did was remove the frosting. That part didn’t seem so bad. However, what came next was pretty tragic.

Unfortunately, one of the ears came off. Luckily, she was able to replace it. But then the other one followed suit. Determined, Teresa was able to reattach the other one as well.

After, she began re-frosting the cake and applied another set of eyes. And boy, did it look… worse.

But her journey wasn’t over yet. Instead, right after snapping the photo, its head fell off.

“Once I got done icing it and put the eyes on, I realized that it was a monstrosity, but I was still going to try and bring it anyway (I’d rather be made fun of than come empty-handed.) Right after I took the first picture of it, its head fell off. I went into full panic mode and decided that I wasn’t going to bring dessert.”

But she thought against showing up to the family gathering without anything at all (good call). Instead, she decided to keep going. Who knows? She might be able to redeem the poor little lamb.

“A few minutes, and drinks, later, I decided against it and to keep going. So I put some more toothpicks in it to put its head back on it. I tried re-icing it again and it just looked even worse than before.”

Thus, she grabbed a knife and smoothed the icing over the cake to make it look more appealing. But it still looked pretty terrible.

In the end, Teresa ended up bringing the dessert to her family’s Easter lunch. Despite her hard work, none of her family members ate it. But not for the reasons you may think.

“It turned out that everyone loved it, [they] thought it was hilarious and didn’t want to cut into it and ruin it (ironic, I know).”
