The internet sure is a treasure trove for the weird. There are so many bizarre and inexplicable things that can be found online that it simply is not describable in words. From people performing inhuman feats to pets doing the craziest things ever, if you have spent a few hours going through random YouTube videos, there is probably very little that will still be able to surprise you.

But then again, maybe there still is one surprise – mayonnaise ice cream! Yes, you read that right. There is an ice cream that has the flavor of good old mayonnaise.
Interesting ingredients
For anyone out there who has been eating a healthy diet to keep the inches from adding on, ice cream and mayonnaise are two things that are probably strictly off the menu. But then there is no denying the fact that both of them are yummy in themselves and so it was just a matter of time before someone thought it would be a good idea to mix the two foods.
Besides, if the flavor combination actually works, there are always cheat days!
Ice to the rescue
Mayonnaise ice cream is the brainchild of ICE, a scoop shop in Falkirk, Scotland. If you are wondering what would drive someone to come up with the idea, ICE is known for bringing weird flavors into the market. Their menu is full of unique creations which include a Monster energy drink ice cream flavor.

Kyle Gentleman, the owner of ICE, told Today magazine that “The ice cream is full of fat and cream followed with an eggy milky aftertaste.” We are not really sure if that sounds tempting to you or not, but it is something that everyone should try if they get a chance, even if it is just for the novelty factor!
Scoop it up
To be truthful, the ice cream does not look as gross as we originally thought it would. In fact, to be fair, it does seem pretty interesting. So, if you are planning to head to Scotland anytime soon, be sure to grab a scoop of mayonnaise ice cream.
Mixed reactions
When you come out with something that is so drastically different than anything else, you are bound to have some mixed reactions, and the mayonnaise ice cream does just that! People have taken to social media platforms to express their thoughts, and they are not all kind.
Glen Macnow even remarked that a more disgusting idea has never existed in the history of mankind.
The adventurous ones
But then there are some of the more adventurous ones who are not actually dismissing the idea of the mayonnaise ice cream outright! Some are looking forward to trying out the “different” ice cream flavor while some pointed out that ice cream and mayo are not all that different. Shivam Bhatt said that “Ice cream is eggs and milk and sugar. Mayo is eggs and oil. It is only controversial if you aren’t familiar.”
Well, the jury is still out on whether or not the mayo flavored ice cream is here to rule the roost, but as far as the braveness of experiments go, this one is right up there with the best!
