Everyone loves a home-cooked meal, but we definitely don’t love spending the entire holidays in the kitchen, so you just know that we love a good crockpot recipe.

It gives us that perfect “I spent hours in the kitchen” vibe without actually having to spend too much time in the kitchen.

That’s a win-win in our books.

As an avid crockpotter myself, the thought of making breakfast in a crockpot had never dawned on me.

I am pleased to report, however, that this news is truly a game-changer.

There’s nothing we dislike more than having to eat a half-toasted Eggo waffle on the morning commute.

So with that said, let’s check out these amazing crockpot recipes.

Recipe #1.

This recipe is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Start with mixing ½ a cup of melted butter and 1/2 a cup of brown sugar together in a bowl. Next, you will need two cans of cinnamon rolls. Pop those babies open, and cut each dough roll into quarters.

Then, grab a ziplock bag – we prefer gallon-sized – as you will need to shake the ingredients together in the bag. Add ¼ cup sugar and one teaspoon of cinnamon into the bag.

Next, add the dough pieces to the bag and simply shake, shake, shake.

Once those tasty rolls are coated to your heart’s desire, it’s time to get cooking.

Start by spraying the crockpot with non-stick spray or use a crockpot liner.

Add the mixed dough to the pot, glaze on the butter and brown sugar paste, and cook on high for 2 hours, but be sure to keep an eye on it.

After the rolls are cooked through, add the packaged frosting on top. Serve and enjoy.

Recipe #2

Her second recipe provides a savory and hearty dish that will keep the family full for hours.

You will need 1 pound of sausage, 1 pound of frozen hash browns, 1 onion, 12 eggs, 1 cup of whole milk, ½ cup of sour cream, salt, and pepper.

To begin, simply dice one onion. Add the sausage and onion into a saucepot and begin cooking through.

Next, crack the 12 eggs into a medium-sized bowl.

Add the milk, sour cream, your preferred amounts of salt and pepper, and then whisk until even.

Now it’s time for the magic to happen.

Spray your crockpot and add in the hash browns along with the sausage and onions.

Add in whatever casserole veggies you like. Julia recommends bell peppers.

Next, pour in half a cup of mild cheddar cheese.

To top it off, pour the whisked eggs on top. Simply cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Be sure not to surpass the eight-hour mark, for fear of overcooking the eggs.

Recipe #3

Recipe #3 is sure to please the potato-lovers in your life, and it’s easy peasy to make.

To begin, chop 3 pounds of red or golden potatoes along with one onion, then set aside.

To make the seasoning you will need to mix 1 ¼ teaspoon paprika, 1 ¼ teaspoon dried oregano, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, a pinch of nutmeg, salt, and pepper.

If you like a bit of spice, Julia recommends adding in ⅛ teaspoon cayenne.

Now, it’s time to pull out the crockpot, and you guessed it, coat it with non-stick spray. Dump the potatoes in first, then add in the seasoning.

For the final steps, coat the potatoes with ¼ cup melted butter, and add the diced onion on top. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

This meal is also great for the meal preppers in your life, as well.

The potatoes make a delish side dish that keeps for several days.

If your preferences are on the sweeter side, Julia recommends adding in maple syrup. After combining the ingredients, you’re ready to cook.

Simply cook on high for 45 minutes to 2 hours. If you prefer a thin oatmeal, Julia recommends cooking for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

If thicker oatmeal is more up your alley, cook for 1 ½ to 2 hours.

The results are scrumptious.
