There aren’t many things more rewarding than creating your own, homemade food.

If you’ve ever cooked a meal or baked something from scratch then you know exactly what I’m talking about.

People love to enjoy home-cooked meals, and you will feel the satisfaction of creating something on your own.

However, there is one food that most people overlook when they are creating their own meal.

Butter.

Usually, this is just something that you buy from the store rather than taking the time to make on your own.

However, did you know that making butter is one of the easiest things you can do in your own kitchen?

If you’ve read these posts before, then you’ve probably heard me say that making these homemade meals are extremely easy and don’t take up much time at all.

Although this has been true for all the meals, making butter may in fact be the quickest and easiest. All you need is one ingredient.

That ingredient is heavy whipping cream.

This recipe from the incredibly popular channel, Nino’s Home, has proven to be a favorite.

Pour 2 cups into a bowl.

Next, get out your electric beater and start spinning that cream up.

You’ll have to do this for a little while, but as you continue you will start to see the cream begin to congeal together.

Keep going until it looks like this:

Once you have it in this state, fill another bowl with cold water.

Add ice to make it extra cold.

Strain your butter so that all of the liquid is removed and drop your hunk into the cold water.

Knead it for about five minutes

Keep kneading until it reaches that consistency that we are all familiar with.

Once you’ve got it where you want it, drop it onto a cutting board and grab some wax paper.

Wrap the butter in the paper

Mold it into a nice solid brick. When you like the shape of it, go ahead and pop it in the refrigerator for about an hour.

When you take it out, it’s ready to enjoy. Go ahead and slice into it, making nice, thick slabs.

You can spread that slab onto whatever you’d like or use it in your next dish so that you can say even the butter was made from scratch.

This neat trick will leave you with plenty of delicious butter in the fridge and it will have others wondering where you got it because it will taste so good!

It’s even cat-approved!

If you are a butter fan (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?) then you’ve got to try this one out for yourself.

It may just be the thing that makes all your baked goods stand out that much more.
