First, preheat your oven to 375°.

Then, you need to chop the onions, rinse your turkey down, and dry him as well. Be sure to stuff the turkey with thyme, rosemary, and some onion. Tie the legs together with twine and gently tuck in the wings.

Next, make a butter mixture that covers the whole turkey.

Melt butter, add seasonings, and stir the mix until it is thoroughly dissolved. Brush the mixture onto the turkey.

Then, put the turkey into a roasting pan for it to be cooked. Now comes the fun part, we need to add the bacon.

Cover the whole turkey by weaving the slices of bacon.

At last, bake the special turkey for 3 hours or until a temperature checker hits 165℉.

The best place to check is the turkey’s thigh. If the bacon is getting too dark, feel free to cover the whole turkey in foil.

When the turkey finishes, put the bacon-wrapped beauty on a pan to cool at room temperature until it can be eaten. Carve the turkey on a cutting board. It can be helpful to use a juice groove if you want the extra turkey juices. You won’t regret the extra time you took to make this delectable entree.

An alternative method is to wrap the turkey in bacon and bake it for about 45 minutes to an hour, then peel the bacon off and continue baking the turkey for the remainder of time. Then, you can munch on the bacon as a yummy appetizer, or chop it up and add it to green beans and corn for a delicious side.
